ok ladies and gentlemen this is the precursor to 2 or 3 build threads that i will be starting in the coming weeks. So i need as much information as you guys can provide about the subjects listed.

1. Best way to convert a 1st gen s10 to disc brakes all the way around.

2. Good cam choice for a street 305 that will be opened up and made to breathe better just for a little bit more power than stock.

3. best way to go about putting taller gears for better gas milage in both the 4x4 blazer and the 2wd both of which i will own in the next couple of weeks.

4. Aftermarket blower fans, are they worth buying to up the power of my heat and a/c?

5. shift kits for 700r4 trans other 700r4 trans parts would love sugestions.

I'll be starting a build thread as soon as I get a second blazer. anyway thanks for the input.
Here's my .02 on the build.

1. Should already have disks up front, so are you keeping the stock rear? if so you can pick up kits to convert, even seen c5 brakes put on s10/blazer projects. But to clear the big rotor, must use 17's

2. As far as cam, here is a guy keeping the 305 in a MC, so if intrested here is the whole 2 or 3 page thread on that deal.

3. If I remeber right you were going to put 373's? are you asking HOW to change them out or just opinions on gear choices?

4. IMO blower fans, if they work just keep it stock, if it's on the last leg, then yes go about changing if necessary.

5. Here is the shift kit installed in the Malibu which is a 700r, 383sbc.

Hope this helps!
in response to number 3. on the four by four should i change front and rear? or just rear. idk how 4x4 guys do it.

where have you seen those kits for disc conversion? think summit or jegs would have them?
4x4 guys usually will change the front and rear gears, probabaly if you want more get up when you are in 4 wheel. I would change the rear gears first..
alright anyone else?
thaks for info guys
